Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience dealing with diverse interests and contentious issues.
  • Experience facilitating groups of diverse stakeholders to reach consensus decisions.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe).
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” by the US Government’s designated Security Office.
  • May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement.
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and distribute all Hanford Advisory Board meeting schedules, agendas, and work plans in consultation with the DOE HAB Coordinator or delegate, Washington State Department of Ecology, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency representatives, HAB Chairperson, and HAB Executive Issues Committee.
  • Oversee committee and Board meeting agendas by working with the DOE Hanford Site Deputy Designated Federal Officer, DOE Federal Coordinator, Ecology and EPA representatives, and the HAB to ensure topics are included in the agenda in a timely manner and are acceptable to the three agencies prior to distribution; provide final detailed agendas 10 days prior to meetings.
  • Maintain open, ongoing and effective communications with agency representatives including the DOE Federal Coordinators, HAB leadership, members and issue managers.
  • Develop and distribute the HAB Annual Report and provide a digital copy to DOE.
  • Assist with Ecology’s Annual HAB/Public Involvement Survey by conducting the survey and providing results to the Federal Coordinator.
  • Maintain a HAB library per Federal Advisory Committee Act guidelines; organize and maintain the official information repository; ensure it is not a public information repository and subject to DOE inspection/records requirements.
  • Monitor and assist in carrying out administrative procedures as developed by the Board including attendance and conflict of interest policies, formulation and dissemination of policy advice and recommendations, and ground and operating rules; seek clarification with DOE HAB Coordinator and HAB leadership as necessary to avoid duplication with DOE staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Facilitator (preferred).
  • Experience facilitating tribal, state, and federal stakeholders (preferred).
  • Knowledge of environmental law, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) (preferred).
  • Knowledge of tri-party agreement and applicable treaties including the Treaties of 1855 and the rights and recognition of Tribal trustees as sovereign nations with traditional cultural interests at the Hanford Site (preferred).
