Requirements
Proficiency in the language of teaching (French and/or English).
Experience working with children.
A bachelor's degree.
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Ability to care for a large group of children alone in a classroom, both mentally and physically.
Awareness of the unique needs of young children and appropriate expectations of their abilities.
Ability to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children weighing up to 70 pounds.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and minimal absences.
Responsibilities
Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.
Assist teachers and assistants with the organizational and material aspects of the class.
Lead the work of some student group activities.
Support the teachers' pedagogical methods and comply with the school philosophy.
Read the teacher's lesson plan and master the goals and directions before taking charge of a group of students.
Facilitate students' well-being and attention to learning, and watch over their physical and emotional safety.
Prepare the necessary materials for students' arrival each morning and for various group activities and projects.
Assist in displaying and posting students’ work.
Take the necessary initiatives to ensure the classroom is clean and organized at the end of the day.
Maintain collective educational materials in good condition.
Cover faculty absences across several grades in the school.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is a substitute positions as a teacher’s aide or a teacher in our High School. The position will begin as soon as possible and will last as long as you are available. Your role will be to cover for faculty absences and you will be working in several grades across the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● Proficient in the language of teaching (French and/or English)

Salary range for this position: $150.00 - $175.00 per day
Short term sub pay (1-12 weeks): $150.00 per day
Long term sub pay (13+ weeks): $175.00 per day
