Experience in a busy bar or restaurant is sought.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Ability to follow directions is required.
Basic math skills, or ability to use a calculator and understand proportions, is required.
Good interpersonal skills are required.
Must have or be willing to obtain a California Food Handler’s Certification and Responsible Beverage Service training.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities
Assist bartenders with daily service.
Maintain overall bar cleanliness.
Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients.
Wash and organize glassware.
Retrieve bar stock and maintain adequate levels.
Clean as part of opening and closing duties.
Swig Bar - Barback (Thursday - Saturday)
Swig Bar is San Francisco’s premier live entertainment venue and lounge located near Union Square in San Francisco. If you are eager to learn and looking to work in a fast-paced environment with DJs and Bands, the barback position at Swig may be right for you. We are looking for persons who have experience in a busy bar or restaurant location and those who are interested in providing an elevated hospitality experience. Our customers are a mix of locals and hotel guests who both want to relax for happy hour and turn up on the weekends. Most shifts will be between 9pm and 3am.
