Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
  • Four years of experience in Physical Security and Information Security in the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
  • Two years of experience handling day-to-day key and lock issues.
  • Two years of experience handling help desk tickets for lock issues involving doors, security containers, vaults, secure rooms, and cabinet locks, including installation and repairs.
  • Experience repairing and adjusting door-closing and locking devices and panic hardware.
  • Experience tracking combination changes; security containers and vaults, including location, inspection, and maintenance; and medium- and high-security locks and padlocks.
  • Experience opening locks that cannot be opened by ordinary means, including manipulation and drilling.
  • Experience creating duplicate keys; issuing keys and locks; and establishing, expanding, or modifying master key code systems.
  • Experience changing key and cylinder combinations in accordance with changes in the master key system and maintaining related records.
  • Experience with alarm and access control systems.
  • Ability to obtain General Services Administration certification to perform duties associated with General Services Administration-approved security containers and vaults.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance or higher, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility.
  • Manage and implement alarm and access control systems to prevent unauthorized access and respond to potential security breaches.
  • Oversee and mentor junior security personnel, provide guidance and professional-development support, foster a collaborative team atmosphere, and ensure adherence to security protocols and procedures.
  • Handle day-to-day key and lock issues.
  • Handle lock-related help desk tickets for doors, security containers, vaults, secure rooms, and cabinet locks, including installation and repairs.

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior military service or government contracting experience.
  • Eight years of professional technical activities related to security may substitute for the stated education and experience qualifications, with four years demonstrating Physical Security and Information Security experience in the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
