Requirements
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity architecture or senior engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, ZDX or similar platforms; Zscaler Client Connector; App Connectors; Cloud Firewall; Cloud Sandbox; Data Loss Prevention; and Cloud Access Security Broker.
  • Deep understanding of Zero Trust frameworks including NIST 800-207, Secure Access Service Edge, and Security Service Edge.
  • Deep understanding of identity and access management using Azure Active Directory, Okta, and Ping.
  • Deep understanding of modern network design, including software-defined wide area networking, Domain Name System security, and routing fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding of endpoint security, including endpoint detection and response, extended detection and response, and device posture assessment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex security concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Experience working within large, matrixed enterprises.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Willingness to undergo a security clearance process and provide five or more years of United Kingdom address history at the point of application.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of Zero Trust architectures for enterprise environments covering users, devices, applications, and data.
  • Establish secure access patterns using cloud-based security and Zero Trust platforms such as Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX.
  • Create enterprise-wide security blueprints and reference architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles, NIST 800-207, and CISA guidance.
  • Design scalable identity-centric security controls using single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, device posture, and least-privilege access models.
  • Collaborate with networking teams to modernize wide area networking and remote access using cloud security and Secure Access Service Edge frameworks.
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize Zero Trust technologies.
  • Create and fine-tune policies such as URL filtering, data loss prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, and Firewall as a Service policies.
  • Manage application segmentation and connector deployment.
  • Configure and roll out the Zero Trust Client Connector.
  • Integrate Zero Trust solutions with identity providers such as Entra Active Directory, Okta, and security information and event management/security orchestration, automation and response systems, as well as endpoint platforms such as CrowdStrike.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to migrate legacy virtual private network, proxy, and firewall solutions to cloud-native Zero Trust models.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations and technical validation sessions.
  • Drive the organization’s Zero Trust strategy and security roadmap.
  • Provide architectural governance and ensure security best practices across projects.
  • Conduct threat modeling, gap assessments, and risk evaluations for critical applications and network paths.
  • Advocate for modern security frameworks and secure-by-design principles.
  • Troubleshoot Zero Trust deployment issues, performance concerns, and identity-related access failures.
  • Monitor and tune telemetry, logs, and analytics to maintain optimal operational performance.
  • Provide technical mentorship and training to internal security and networking teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Zscaler certifications such as ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA, or ZCCP.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional, or similar security credentials.
  • Cloud certifications in Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Certifications from other leading Secure Access Service Edge or Security Service Edge vendors such as Palo Alto Prisma or Netskope.
  • Network certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
