Requirements
- An active LPN license and certification as required by the state.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous clinical experience.
- Knowledge of health care delivery trends and their implications for the clinical specialty and medical practice.

- Customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, physicians, and the public.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, keyboarding, and a multi-line phone system.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, health care coding systems, and clinic functions.
- Compliance with organizational health and safety policies and HIPAA patient-confidentiality regulations.
- The ability to carry 1–25 pounds frequently, carry 26–50 pounds occasionally, and push, pull, or lift the specified weights as required by the position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical leader by supervising clinic staff, including medical assistants, licensed practical nurses, and scribes.
- Collaborate with administrative staff and physicians to optimize the efficiency of services ranging from inpatient care to outpatient follow-up care.
- Assist with supervising clinic staff work and performance, including providing input for performance reviews and corrective action plans.
- Work with clinic staff on programs to improve patient outcomes.
- Assist in organizing and participating in quality-improvement activities.
- Assist with training back-office staff and volunteers on health education, laboratory, and dispensary services.
- Assist with patient intake and visit setup.
- Process medication refill requests according to written provider orders and assist with specialty and procedure referrals and pre- and post-clinic chart review.
- Review charts, laboratory test results, and encounter forms for completeness and accuracy and assess follow-up needs.
- Assist with clinic scheduling problem-solving, patient wait times, and other concerns to improve service efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate ideas, resolve problems, obtain feedback, and ensure follow-up.
- Participate in new-hire interviews and oversee the orientation and training of new hires.
- Provide backup support for the clinical team, including all back-office functions.
- Oversee dispensary logs and storage to maintain quality assurance.
- Coordinate medical-supply inventory, ordering, and stock maintenance.
- Provide paid-time-off backup for patient services representatives, medical records specialists, medical assistants, and other clinic support staff when no other resources are available.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, the Solaris Health Code of Conduct, and organizational policies and procedures; protect patient health information, report suspected concerns or violations, and complete annual compliance training.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
- Previous clinical experience in a urology clinic.
