  • Experience building, maintaining, and applying design systems in collaboration with engineering.
  • Fluency in user experience design best practices and usability principles that responsively scale across mobile and web platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Advance the platform-focused design systems roadmap with the Games Web and App Platform product manager and engineering leads, identifying foundational work such as tokens, components, typography, and layout that enables future product velocity.

  • Articulate design rationale and present work to stakeholders across teams and disciplines.
  • Report to the Executive Director of Product Design for Games.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of the constraints and opportunities of technologies used to build modern digital experiences.
  • Experience with front-end coding.
  • Experience shaping team design practices, such as critiques, documentation, and templates, toward responsive, system-first work.
  • Experience collaborating on foundational refactors with platform or infrastructure teams, including typography or color system overhauls and migrations to new component libraries.
  • Comfort working with engineers and understanding implementation tradeoffs, including design tokens, component APIs, and reading specifications.
  • Experience documenting and delivering user interface screens and specifications to engineers.
  • Advanced visual design skills, including typography, hierarchy, and layout.

Bolt CEO defends firing entire HR team as EEOC chair backs discrimination lawsuit against NYT

Bolt CEO Ryan Breslow sparked controversy at the Fortune Workplace Innovation Summit by revealing he fired his entire HR team, claiming they "created problems that didn't exist". The comments came one month after laying off roughly 30% of staff and amid reports of equity-for-salary arrangements and unpaid contractors, which Breslow denied. The summit also featured Andrea Lucas, chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, defending her agency's lawsuit against The New York Times for allegedly discriminating against a white male editor. Lucas rejected suggestions the case was politically motivated, stating "civil rights should be for everyone". Other summit discussions focused on AI's potential to reshape up to 50% of work hours within five years, according to McKinsey, alongside workplace culture topics including four-day workweeks and pay transparency.
