  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least five years of related work experience in operational management are required.
  • The Operations Manager Trainee must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, and the driver's license must be verified through a motor vehicle record check at hire.
  • The trainee must have reliable transportation for timely travel to multiple assigned offices per day, or reliable alternate transportation if a valid driver's license and automobile insurance are unavailable.
  • The trainee must comply with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of dental plans, insurance fees, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems, business correspondence, business reporting techniques, and profit and loss statements is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, and standard office equipment is required.
  • The candidate must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents and respond to common inquiries from patients, team members, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other business community members.
  • The candidate must be able to draw valid conclusions, apply sound judgment, make timely decisions under pressure, interpret policies and procedures, and work with mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and present information verbally and in writing, lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, train, write effective performance evaluations, conduct feedback, and handle team member relations issues.
  • The candidate must be organized, process-focused, self-motivated, proactive, patient-focused, and able to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
  • The candidate must be able to create presentations and demonstrate presentation skills.
Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and operational best practices while learning to create an environment that promotes the company's culture and values.
  • Assess, hire, train, supervise, counsel, and coach team members to support retention.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing the facts and circumstances and developing timely, effective solutions.
  • Execute the operational model consistently to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Use cash management and accounting protocols accurately.
  • Support team development of the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Deliver leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop trust-based relationships with direct supervisors by keeping commitments, maintaining open communication, and raising issues and concerns early.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Gain proficiency in people-related functions, including assessment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, separation processes, and compensation guidance and execution.
  • Report weekly to the Regional Manager on accomplishments, improvement areas, performance goals, and system effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate competency in managing Front Office and Back Office team members and developing the team by the end of the development program.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and office protocols that support efficient operations during manager absences.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor that improve team member development outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates is preferred.
