  • At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit is required.
  • At least 2 years of critical care experience are required.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • A New York Registered Nurse license and registration are required.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Recover, assess, and monitor pediatric through geriatric patients who have undergone surgical procedures under general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care.
  • Administer medication and manage overall patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
  • Partner with attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for patients and build meaningful relationships with their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
  • Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse certification is preferred.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse certification is preferred.
