- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit is required.
- At least 2 years of critical care experience are required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
- A New York Registered Nurse license and registration are required.
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is required.
- Recover, assess, and monitor pediatric through geriatric patients who have undergone surgical procedures under general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care.
- Administer medication and manage overall patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
- Partner with attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for patients and build meaningful relationships with their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
- Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse certification is preferred.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse certification is preferred.
