Geotechnical Project Engineer
About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering is required.
- At least five years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management experience is required.
- Experience with investigation and construction phases of projects is required.
- Texas Professional Engineer registration or licensure is required.
- Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds periodically is required.
- Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets is required.
- Travel up to 25% of the time is required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member is required.
- Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills are required.
- Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project-related and non-project-related face-to-face meetings.
- Lead a technical or project-related team.
- Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
- Develop and execute complete project scopes and prepare engineering reports containing professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards.
- Mentor junior-level engineering staff.
- Work in compliance with corporate health and safety policies.
- A Master of Science degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering is preferred.
- Experience managing client relationships, vendor management, and leading a team is preferred.
- Experience with Texas PK-12 education, municipal, or commercial projects is preferred.
