  • Apply least-privilege, data-protection, audit, and regulatory-control requirements to Db2 access and administration in coordination with enterprise security and governance teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, operating procedures, recovery documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials; provide technical guidance to less-experienced professionals.
  • Participate in on-call support and planned change windows for mission-critical Db2 for z/OS services and drive continuous improvement through monitoring, alerting, automation, and operational simplification.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience administering IBM Db2 for z/OS in a large, high-availability production environment, preferably supporting financial-services workloads.
  • Experience with Db2 utilities, DDL, BIND/REBIND, EXPLAIN, access-path analysis, SQL tuning, locking and concurrency diagnostics, and database statistics strategy.
  • Experience with Db2 data sharing and Parallel Sysplex concepts, including group buffer pools, castout processing, locking, and recovery considerations.
  • Experience with Db2 backup and recovery design, image-copy strategies, point-in-time recovery, disaster-recovery exercises, and recoverability validation.
  • Experience with IBM OMEGAMON for Db2 Performance Expert, Db2 accounting and statistics reports, performance traces, IFCIDs, or comparable monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Working knowledge of z/OS operations and tooling, including TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, JES, data set management, RACF, and enterprise scheduling platforms such as ESP.
  • Automation or scripting experience using REXX, CLIST, Python on z/OS UNIX System Services, z/OSMF workflows, Ansible for z/OS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or comparable IT service-management processes, including incident, problem, change, and configuration management in a regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting Db2 version upgrades, maintenance, function-level activation, object migrations, and application-release implementation across development, test, and production environments.

Truist cuts Cameco target to $125, still sees 58% upside after 38% slide

Cameco shares have fallen 38% in six months, but Truist still rates the stock a Buy. On October 22, analyst Christopher Souther cut his price target to $125 from $130. That implies 58% upside from the current price of about $79. Uranium prices have held up, but profits have not followed. Cameco's uranium earnings fell nearly 40% in the second quarter even as its realised price rose 18%, because its cost per pound climbed 36%. Analysts have cut their 2026 earnings estimate to $1.44 a share from $1.67 over 90 days. At $125, the stock would trade at about 80x forward earnings, against 52x today. Reaching the target needs a 2027 earnings jump or a Westinghouse listing. The third-quarter report in early November is the next test.

Truist consumer banking chief exits in shakeup as bank sells $7.7B of LightStream loans

Truist consumer and small business banking chief Dontá Wilson is leaving the bank, six weeks into Mike Lyons' tenure as chief executive officer. Wilson was the last executive remaining from the 2019 SunTrust-BB&T merger that created Truist. Shimna Sameer, hired in July to lead wealth management, will take over consumer banking. Jeff Warner, a 25-year PNC veteran, joins as chief small business banking officer, and D. Steve Boland, a former Bank of America executive, becomes vice chair. All three report to Lyons. Truist also agreed to sell $7.7 billion of LightStream loans to Carlyle, expected to generate $7.2 billion in net proceeds. The deal should close in the fourth quarter and exits a non-core business, the bank said.
