Anduril is creating a new opportunity for a Construction Manager to oversee all construction projects and be part of the long term strategy plans for the company. We are seeking an innovative leader who is deeply familiar with the old school ways of construction management, but not married to them. Responsibilities:

• Budget and financial oversight:
• Develop and manage budgets for construction and maintenance projects: everything from large greenfield projects to small one-day capital improvements.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
• Work closely with FP&A for cost forecasting.
• Strategic Planning:
• Contribute to the strategic long range planning efforts of Anduril’s real estate portfolio.
• Work closely with Business Line leaders, Finance, Production, Office Managers, and others to understand business needs for the short, medium, and long term. In other words, beyond a PM, you will be a strategic partner.
• Advise and participate in all phases of any given project: programming, design, pre-construction, closeout, and operations - not just construction.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related matters.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management and other key internal stakeholders.
• Assist in internal escalations to resolve stakeholder questions and/or concerns.
• External Project Management Coordination:
• Collaborate closely with external project management teams to ensure alignment of construction activities with overall project objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Facilitate regular meetings with external project managers to discuss project updates, resource allocation, and potential challenges.
• Maintain, adapt and implement a project management plan prepared by external project managers.
• Thought Leadership and Software Innovation
• Act as a thought leader who brings innovation into the company, you understand industry best practices, yet can think from first principles are willing to challenge the status quo. You are eager to come up with new processes that replace decades-old ones in construction.
• Collaborate with our Internal Tools and Analytics teams to bring to life the software needed to enable a world class construction function at Anduril. This means often influencing the decision to "buy vs. build" tools that will drive site design, streamline project management, and control budgets.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with Defense, Hardware Technology and Advanced Manufacturing related projects and internal company operations is strongly preferred.
• Experience with ICD-705 and TEMPEST-related policies and guidance
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, MEP systems and legal regulations.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Successful project execution utilizing various project delivery methods.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools. You are familiar with the latest tools out there, yet have strong points of view on how they could be made much better.
• Competency in CPM scheduling methods, construction estimating, construction document review, and contract administration.
• Strong background in design advisory, pre-construction, and project kickoff/setup.

Qualifications:

• Must be based out of an Anduril located office if selected.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are highly desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the defense sector.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support ongoing projects.
