- Ability to read technical drawings and plans and knowledge of using various metalworking tools.
- Assemble metal elements into structures and weld according to plans using welding fixtures or tools.
- Read plans and other technical documentation.
- Join structures using MIG/MAG welding, REO welding, or other joining processes.
- Cut profiles and sheet metal using an oxy-fuel cutter, handheld plasma cutter, or handheld grinder.
- Drill and perform other mechanical-processing procedures using manual electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic tools, and process structures by grinding and polishing.
