Requirements
  • A diploma or degree in Radiography from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be a registered member in good standing of the College of Medical Radiography Technologists of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Effective use of empathy in interactions with others.
  • Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.

Responsibilities
  • Work within an inter-professional team to provide quality, patient- and family-centred care.
  • Complete accurate, efficient, and professional diagnostic images of in-patient and out-patient clients.
  • Follow health and safety policies to help provide a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and others.
  • Rotate through X-ray master.
  • Primary assignment is in X-ray, with possible assignment to all areas of the Medical Imaging department, including offsite locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists or Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists is preferred.
  • Quality control experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience within the Registered Technologist classification.
