Food Assistant - Restaurant
About the job
- Be customer-service oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
- Be comfortable maintaining restaurant cleanliness and performing cashiering duties.
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift heavy trays.
- Be available to work AM/PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant area by clearing dishes and utensils and cleaning tables and chairs.
- Dispose of and clear food waste from the central clearing area.
- Follow standard operating procedures and uphold Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene practices, and health and safety regulations.
- Handle cashier duties, including accurately processing sales transactions.
- Perform stock checks and keep inventory records accurate and up to date.
- Promote sales through upselling and recommending add-ons to customers.
