About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of data engineering experience owning production systems relied on by others.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with production experience in ingestion tools such as Fivetran, orchestration tools such as the dbt platform, GitHub Actions, or Airflow, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Solid Snowflake experience, including access control, warehouse sizing, query performance, and cost management.
  • Practical dbt experience with incremental models, testing, macros, git-based workflows with continuous integration, and building slowly changing dimension tables from multiple sources.
  • Comfort working in a Terraform-managed environment where infrastructure changes go through code review rather than the Snowflake console.
  • Experience establishing reliability practices, including alerting, freshness service-level agreements, incident response, and schema change detection.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development such as Claude Code, including agentic pipeline design and skill-based workflows, and comfort integrating tools via Model Context Protocol servers.
  • Ability to explain failures, impacts, and expected resolution timelines to stakeholders without jargon.
  • Comfort building in an environment without an established playbook.
Responsibilities
  • Own ingestion through Fivetran, third-party connectors, and custom extraction where no connector exists.
  • Own orchestration across the dbt platform and GitHub Actions; own materialization strategy and model performance; move critical models from nightly full rebuilds to incremental patterns; and reduce latency when decisions are waiting on stale data.
  • Build source-schema change detection so upstream field changes trigger alerts before reaching reports.
  • Establish observability through freshness service-level agreements on critical tables, failure and drift alerting, and an incident path with clear ownership.
  • Respond to pipeline failures and drive upstream fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage pipeline compute costs and make freshness-versus-spend tradeoffs explicit.
  • Share Snowflake administration, including implementing role-based access, security and network policies, data masking and personally identifiable information controls, and storage organization.
  • Extend the medallion architecture and Terraform-managed footprint, including full separation of development and production environments.
  • Contribute to the foundational modeling layer used by Analytics Engineers, including source-to-staging patterns, conformed dimensions, shared entities, and slowly changing dimension patterns.
  • Build and maintain development environments and continuous integration that enable analysts to contribute models safely, and review their contributions.
  • Build tooling and setup that help new engineers and analysts become productive quickly.
  • Administer the data tooling stack, including access, integrations, and connections between systems.
  • Use AI-assisted development, including Claude Code skills, agents, and evaluations, subject to the same review standards as other work.
  • Document work as it is built.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a regulated or high-sensitivity data environment such as legal, healthcare, or financial services.
  • Experience with streaming or near-real-time ingestion and judgment about when it is worthwhile.
  • Exposure to Iceberg, Parquet, or unstructured data at scale.
  • B2B SaaS experience, especially serving small and midsized businesses or professional services firms.

Eve's AI workforce platform reaches general availability after 900+ plaintiff law firms adoption

Eve, a legal AI platform for plaintiff law firms, has announced general availability of Eve 2.0 following deployment across more than 900 plaintiff firms. The platform delivers autonomous case execution and continuous auditing, with customers reporting a 2–3x increase in attorney capacity, 15% faster case resolution, and 80% reduction in complaint drafting time. Eve 2.0 features AI Agents that advance casework automatically and an AI Auditor that reviews cases nightly for traumatic brain injuries, mass tort eligibility and other value drivers. The platform enables firms to handle more cases without expanding headcount by creating a hybrid workforce model where AI manages routine work whilst attorneys focus on strategy. The company plans to introduce an AI Analyst agent to surface insights across firms' case portfolios. Customers include Mike Morse Law Firm, Earley Law Firm and Smith Clinesmith LLP.
