Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a mechanical or electromechanical-related major.
  • Three to five years of experience in consumer-product new product development projects.
  • Ability to lead a team in analyzing and resolving problems, with knowledge of quality-management tools such as PSS/8D.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate and report smoothly to overseas team members.
  • Ability to accommodate medium-to-high levels of business travel.

Responsibilities

  • As a project team member, provide quality assurance throughout product development, ensure samples at each project stage meet quality requirements, participate in stage activities, chair quality-gate meetings, and release product quality.
  • As a project team member, ensure process-design quality throughout product development and that manufacturing processes meet Bosch standards; lead process FMEA meetings and release quality throughout production.
  • Develop and implement project quality-assurance plans, product test plans, and audit plans with overseas teams.
  • Track sample testing status, evaluate and summarize test results, and provide information for project-stage approvals, reporting, or escalation.
  • Lead or support failure analysis for test failures found during projects and mass production using PSS/8D, communicate findings to overseas teams, follow up on customer complaints, and drive improvements to product design, processes, or materials to improve product quality.
  • Provide quality technical support for engineering and design changes, and verify and release the quality of products and processes after changes.
  • Provide ongoing technical and inspection-standard support to the quality inspection team after products enter mass production.
  • Participate in VDA 6.3 process audits of finished-product suppliers.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with injection-molded part and mold design, metal machining, electronic hardware and software, and power-tool project development is preferred.
