Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience is required.
  • The position requires the ability to multitask, strong organizational skills, and highly analytical abilities.
  • The employee must be able to sit for prolonged periods, work at a computer, lift up to 15 pounds at times, and access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between the facility and the corporate Human Resources department regarding time reporting, personnel questions, complaints, and issues.
  • Administer company policies and procedures and help ensure compliance.
  • Maintain current personnel, medical, and termination files.
  • Perform the hiring and termination of employees and contract help.
  • Place personnel orders with temporary staffing agencies and interface with the agencies concerning their employees.
  • Examine time reports and make changes or corrections through the time and attendance system.
  • Process address changes, benefit changes, new-hire paperwork, and related employee data.
  • Maintain and update the Guardian security system, including activating employees, modifying access accounts, deactivating terminated employees, and creating access rules.
  • Generate, compile, and collect report data through time and attendance and payroll systems.
  • Answer employee human resources questions and assist with problem-solving.
  • Interface with supervisory employees for problem resolution and routine reporting.
  • Perform clerical functions for the Human Resources department, including memo writing and filing.
  • Process payroll accurately, compliantly, and on time for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Prepare monthly reports for headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.
  • Process employee data for new hires, changes, and additional earnings.
  • Process employee time and attendance data to payroll, reconcile variances, and approve and release time in the time system.
  • Support expatriate tax filing and run the monthly payroll cycle.
  • Maintain confidential information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver benefits and payroll services.
  • Monitor and analyze expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure databases reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits, and 401(k) percentages.
  • Maintain vacation and sick-time records.
  • Create HR-related reports on demand.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs involving compensation, benefits, FMLA, short- and long-term disability, and workers' compensation.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and review policies and practices for compliance.
  • Perform special assignments as delegated.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities are preferred.
  • Process-improvement abilities are a plus.
