Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree is required.
  • A current Washington State Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is required within one year of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the facility.
  • Promote continuity of care for patients on the unit.
  • Provide direct patient care and supervise care given by Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Aides, and other support staff.
  • Apply knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span and assess data reflecting each patient’s status.
  • Interpret information needed to identify each patient’s age-specific care requirements.
  • Provide care according to department and unit policies and procedures.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching.
  • Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
  • Provide emergency care and handle emergency or crisis situations when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
