Network Engineer
About the job
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required, with experience substitutions described in the posting.
- Three years of demonstrable experience in network engineering, LAN architecture, monitoring, security, and protection is required, or five years of experience without a degree.
- Datacenter network design and architecture experience is required, including installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPsec virtual private networks.
- Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and Layer 3 access controls is required.
- Working knowledge of the Atlassian Tool Suite, virtualization products, VMware, and Solaris containers is required.
- Ability to support on-call requirements is required.
- Ability to work in a live call environment and use Remedy or another ticketing system to track tasking is required.
- TS/SCI clearance with both polygraphs is required.
- Provide network support requiring system-level design, architecture, enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, packet-capture software, the TCP/IP protocol stack, routing and switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and Layer 3/Layer 4 access controls.
- Perform physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices.
