Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar business applications, enterprise resource planning support or functional consulting role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365, or a comparable global enterprise resource planning platform.
  • Exposure to enterprise resource planning implementations, upgrades, system operations and ongoing application maintenance.
  • An understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes and business process workflows.
  • Experience with application configuration, optimisation, testing and incident management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to create logical and detailed test scenarios.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Confidence delivering training and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks and work independently under deadline pressure.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multicultural, globally connected environment.
  • The right to live and work in Australia.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical.
Responsibilities
  • Provide functional support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related business applications.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application issues, incidents and user enquiries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective digital solutions.
  • Support application upgrades, system enhancements, testing activities and new technology implementations.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials and process guides.
  • Deliver user training and promote adoption of digital systems and business processes.
  • Maintain application security, user access controls and compliance with IT governance requirements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance system performance and business efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • ITIL Foundation certification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Sandvik partners with Rio Tinto to integrate autonomous drilling systems across Australian mines

Sandvik has partnered with Rio Tinto to integrate its i-series surface drill rigs with Rio Tinto's Autonomous Drilling System. The collaboration will combine Sandvik's AutoMine automation technology with Rio Tinto's remote operations expertise to improve safety, productivity and system interoperability in open-pit mining. Development will be managed through Rio Tinto's Perth Operations Centre, beginning with testing at Sandvik's facility in Finland. Field trials will follow at Rio Tinto's Western Australian operations to evaluate performance against production targets. The project leverages existing autonomous infrastructure at Rio Tinto's iron ore sites and aligns with both companies' expansion plans, including Sandvik's recent copper mine equipment orders and Rio Tinto's $1.5 billion Quebec smelter expansion, due to complete by end-2026.

Sandvik reports $3B revenue, 23% order intake growth in Q1 2026

Swedish engineering group Sandvik reported strong first-quarter results for 2026, with order intake rising 23% to SEK 36.8 billion and revenues increasing 15% to SEK 30.7 billion, both at fixed exchange rates and organically. The company's adjusted EBITA margin improved to 20.0% from 19.7% in the prior year period, whilst adjusted EBIT margin reached 18.6%, up from 18.0%. Adjusted profit before tax rose to SEK 5.5 billion from SEK 5.0 billion. Diluted earnings per share increased to SEK 3.09 from SEK 2.97, whilst adjusted diluted earnings per share reached SEK 3.27, up from SEK 3.01. Free operating cash flow stood at SEK 3.6 billion, down slightly from SEK 3.8 billion in the same quarter last year.
