Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of foodservice experience is preferred for the opportunity.
  • Outside sales account management experience is required.
  • Experience calling on key accounts, market prospecting, and sales pipeline management is required.
  • Ability to develop, execute, and follow a sales plan is required.
  • Ability to influence changes in others without formal authority is required.
  • A current and active driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record is required.
  • Ability to travel daily by personal vehicle is required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during food trade show season and safely lift case goods weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Ability to prepare or learn to properly cook food products and design menu combinations in support of the selling cycle is required.
Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships and use a consultative selling approach with key stakeholders and decision-makers in on-site foodservice sectors, including healthcare, business and industry, and colleges and universities.
  • Prospect and pursue new business within a defined territory of Austin and San Antonio accounts, with support from Marketing and a Business Intelligence resource.
  • Influence key decision-makers without authority and develop trust with on-site foodservice sectors, including healthcare, business and industry, and colleges and universities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of key differentiators and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop creative solutions for restaurant chefs and on-site restaurant operators.
  • Work closely with local market leadership and cross-functional sales support teams to execute a market penetration strategy.
  • Update every action in the customer relationship management system to identify what is and is not working.
  • Manage the pipeline and sales activity, including accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare or learn to properly cook food products and design menu combinations in support of the selling cycle.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior outside sales experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in account management, relationship management, direct or indirect sales, business development, operations, or business-to-business work is preferred.
  • A positive, proactive professional attitude and the ability to build relationships are preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and learn from others is preferred.
