General Liability Claims Examiner
About the job
- Five to seven years of General Liability claims handling experience involving bodily injury and property damage.
- Experience handling both litigated and non-litigated claims.
- Ability to evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims.
- Ability to provide resolution strategies and articulate action plans.
- An active adjuster's license is required.
- Investigate incidents involving alleged bodily injury and/or property damage.
- Review insurance policies and applicable language to determine coverage.
- Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure to recommend action plans.
- Negotiate settlements and attend mediations when necessary.
- Communicate with management, carriers, brokers, policyholders, and legal counsel.
- Prepare clear reports and recommendations for resolution.
- Mediation and settlement experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex liability claims.
- Experience collaborating with counsel in defense of litigated matters.
- Negotiation skills and proven success in achieving cost-effective settlements.
