Driving improvement in business processes and tools to enable the Operations team. Align efforts to established goals and objectives and to areas that will make both incremental improvements as well as significant step function improvements.
Effectively aligning and prioritizing resources to solve common problems.
Cross-functional Problem Solving: Instill a culture of structured problem solving throughout the business using common tools, methods and vernacular.
Culture: Become a change agent for the Operations team by ensuring employees have a roadmap, tools, training, guidance to accelerate the transformation of the business utilizing standardized metrics, and practices.
Kaizen: Drive stepwise improvements in safety, quality, cost and on time delivery through structured Kaizen events.
Transactional Processes: Ensure all departments within the business are implementing the appropriate lean tools, e.g., VSM, transactional process improvement, variance reduction, etc. to maximize productivity and minimize lead time throughout the business.
Vision/Strategy: Ensure the definition and development of the operational excellence strategy for the business is understood and ownership is recognized by all.
Education/Experience: BS in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Business
10+ years of Lean deployment or Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing setting is required. 5+ years in a Lean leadership role. A Black Belt Certification is preferred.
Experience transforming Operations organizations and manufacturing sites through implementation improvement initiatives, Kaizen, lean methodologies while achieving targeted P&L savings and operational goals.
Experience in the development and/or refinement of a company’s Op Ex culture and operating system.
Previous experience in a highly technical environment such as robotics or aerospace is preferred.
Demonstrated success in project management and influencing cultural change.
