Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of management experience is preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
  • Applicable state licensure is required.
  • CPR or Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
  • Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, posting ledgers, and balancing and reconciling accounts is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word, web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and applicable human resources systems is required.
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and move throughout the community, resident apartments, and other areas is required.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance as needed is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and identify and interpret written information is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance is required.
  • Ability to follow infection prevention and control protocols, including use of personal protective equipment when necessary, is required.
  • Ability to complete required training and ongoing education initiatives is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior leader of the Community with responsibility for strategic oversight, daily operations, and long-term performance.
  • Ensure exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and achievement of financial and operational goals.
  • Lead and develop department heads and staff across all functional areas while fostering accountability, engagement, and alignment with the Company's mission and values.
  • Represent the Community externally and build relationships with residents, families, employees, and local partners.
  • Manage day-to-day Community operations, including profit and loss, marketing, sales, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, financial expectations, facility condition, and workforce quality.
  • Make business decisions in the best interests of the company and its employees while keeping the mission and core values at the forefront.
  • Directly manage the Housekeeping department and oversee supervisors in Resident Care, Sales, Maintenance, Dining, Life Enrichment, and Office Administration.
  • Create and manage department schedules through the Attendance on Demand platform to ensure adequate coverage within the labor budget and comply with platform guidelines.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and coordination to the Community while practicing servant leadership.
  • Meet or exceed budgets and targeted Community performance goals.
  • Participate in marketing outreach initiatives, family engagement events, and quarterly marketing events.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly ROAR meetings.
  • Ensure the Community remains compliant with all applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring, provide onboarding, conduct performance evaluations, and partner with Human Resources on employee development and disciplinary matters.
  • Participate in company-sponsored trainings, meetings, and events and remain current on organizational updates and industry best practices.
  • Ensure effective communication with residents' families regarding residents' physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff activities that foster teamwork, unity, and morale.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
