Osaic hires chief AI and technology officer.

Osaic hires chief AI and technology officer. Sayee Bellamkonda joins from Vialto Partners and will report to CEO Jamie Price. The move follows several executive departures and a $2 billion recapitalization. Diana Britton, Executive Editor, Wealth Management August 27, 2026 Osaic has hired Sayee Bellamkonda as its new chief artificial intelligence and technology officer. He joins from Vialto Partners, a global provider of tax and mobility solutions, where he was executive vice president and chief digital and technology officer, and will report directly to CEO Jamie Price. He replaces Ed Obuchowski, who served as chief technology officer until his departure from the firm last year, according to public filings. Since then, Matt Schlueter has overseen the technology function in his role as chief product and operations officer. The broker/dealer is adding the chief AI title to the role, as Osaic continues to integrate AI into its technology platform. "Bellamkonda's recruitment marks a strategic investment in Osaic's integrated technology capabilities as the firm advances its short- and long-term technology and AI roadmap," the firm said in a statement. He'll focus on improving the company's tech, data and AI infrastructure and scaling the tech platform across the enterprise. "Sayee has spent his career connecting technology strategy with business outcomes, and he knows how to build the organizations, capabilities and culture needed to turn that strategy into action," said Price, in a statement. "Bringing a leader of Sayee's caliber to Osaic reflects the opportunity we have to build something consequential and underscores how important these enhancements are to our future." This follows the departure of several top Osaic executives, including Greg Cornick, executive vice president of wealth management solutions, and Kristy Britt, chief financial officer, last month. Kristen Kimmell, who had served as Osaic's head of business development since 2021, left in June to rejoin RBC Wealth Management, her former employer. Two other senior Osaic executives stepped down from their roles in May, including Dimple Shah, head of strategy and client experience, and Sudhakar Kanagarajan, head of application engineering and architecture. Shah joined Humanity Labs, while Kanagarajan joined Fidelity Investments. In December, the firm hired Shannon Reid as president and head of advisor growth and engagement, a newly created position. Also, in April, Osaic's private equity owner, Reverence Capital Partners, closed on a recapitalization of the broker/dealer, with Bain Capital entering as a new investor. The deal raised more than $2 billion in fresh capital for Osaic and allowed Reverence to retain majority ownership. LPL also announced a new tech executive this week, hiring Jonathan Lewis as managing director and chief technology and information officer from competitor Wells Fargo. In the new role, Lewis will lead technology architecture, engineering, infrastructure and development, while reporting to Greg Gates, who has been promoted to group managing director, chief product and technology officer. Former Osaic recruiting exec joins Carson Group.

Former Osaic recruiting exec joins Carson Group. by Ali Hibbs August 17, 2026 Carson Group has hired Kevin Peterson to lead recruitment for its independent contractor channel. A former recruiting executive at independent brokerage giant Osaic Wealth joined Carson Group, an Omaha, Nebraska-based firm with more than $62 billion in client assets, according to an announcement on Monday. Kevin Peterson, who had been a senior vice president of business development at Osaic for the past two years, joined Carson Group with the same corporate title and oversees recruiting for Carson's independent segment, according to the announcement. "Independent advisors are increasingly looking for a partner that combines a strong RIA platform with broker-dealer capabilities, and Carson is well positioned to fill that need," Peterson said in a statement. Peterson left Osaic in July and had served a month-long garden leave, according to his LinkedIn profile. Several Osaic executives, including recruiting chief Kristen Kimmel, have left the independent brokerage over the past year. A spokesperson for Osaic, which has more than 11,000 affiliated advisors and $700 billion in client assets, did not immediately return a request for comment. The firm is majority owned by Reverence Capital Partners. Prior to joining Osaic, Peterson had been regional head of RIA custody for Goldman Sachs & Co. He began his career in 2004 with TD Ameritrade, where he also worked to recruit and onboard advisory teams, according to the announcement. The hire comes after Carson Group earlier this summer established separate leadership and recruiting teams for its independent and employee channels. It last month shifted Scott A. Conroy to a newly created role leading the independent group, which includes around a third of Carson's advisor force. Carson Group CEO Burt White oversees the employee segment on an interim basis. The firm, which is backed by Bain Capital, has around 165 offices. It has been expanding by purchasing new practices and buying out existing affiliates. The nine-person Bridgeway Group has five advisors and two offices in Los Angeles. Aug 12, 2026 Aug 11, 2026 Aug 6, 2026 Aug 5, 2026

Moonfare backs $2B Osaic continuation vehicle in US wealth management sector

Moonfare Secondary Fund has invested in a continuation vehicle for Osaic, a leading US wealth management platform serving over 10,000 financial advisors managing $747 billion in client assets. The fund joined lead investors Lexington Partners and Ares Secondaries in the transaction. Reverence Capital Partners, Osaic's owner since 2019, structured the continuation vehicle to raise more than $2 billion in fresh capital for the company's continued growth. Under Reverence's ownership, Osaic expanded from approximately 7,000 advisors and $268 billion in assets to its current scale, growing advisor count by roughly 40% and nearly tripling assets. The investment comes as private equity interest in wealth management reaches record levels, with the first quarter of 2025 seeing the highest US deal count ever at $1.67 trillion in assets under management changing hands.

$3.5B iTP Partners leaves Osaic to launch RIA with Cetera's Blueprint.

$3.5B iTP Partners leaves Osaic to launch RIA with Cetera's Blueprint. iTP Partners, which had been acquired in 2022 into what would become Osaic, has departed for Cetera after speaking with "multiple" broker/dealers. Alex Ortolani, Senior Reporter, Wealth Management August 4, 2026 Cetera Financial Group has added iTP Partners and its registered investment adviser Blue Horizon Equity to its Blueprint RIA platform, the San Diego-based independent broker/dealer announced Tuesday. iTP Partners, which had formerly been with Cetera rival Osaic, will bring over about $3.5 billion in assets under administration and almost 50 financial advisors, according to the announcement. Co-founded by Bob Sansone and Jeff Hartman, iTP is headquartered in Pittsford, N.Y., with an additional office in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Its advisors are also equity holders in the firm. "The RIA model is the future of our industry," Sansone said. "At iTP, we have created a home where an advisor can participate in the benefits of our model - including real ownership through equity - without having to do all the work of building it from scratch. That's a powerful value proposition, and Cetera's Blueprint platform amplifies it." Blueprint offers multi-custodial options, including Pershing, which iTP advisors are already using and will continue with. Sansone said the firm held discussions with multiple broker/dealers before deciding on Cetera. "What I liked about Blueprint and Cetera's approach is that they're not rigid, and they're very willing to adjust to the needs at hand so things stay flexible as we move along," Sansone said. "Cetera hasn't dug their heels in on anything, and that's refreshing." Sansone began his career in 1971 with Mutual of New York. Later, he linked up with Jeff Hartman to found iTP in 2014, initially affiliating with American Portfolios, which was acquired by Advisor Group in 2022 and eventually rebranded as Osaic. Cetera's Blueprint is an RIA platform of "resources, technologies and services from which they can execute their growth plan," a spokesperson wrote via email. The firm does not segment operating or financial metrics by division. The broker/dealer also has RIA options, Cetera Investors, a network of 40 branch offices, and Cetera Planning Partners, a wholly-owned employee-advisor option. Cetera Planning Partners was formed earlier this year with the combination of Avantax Planning Partners and The Retirement Planning Group, two RIAs that the firm acquired in 2023. As of March 31, 2026, all Cetera firms manage about $630 billion in assets under administration and $296 billion in assets under management. The broker/dealer is owned by private equity firm Genstar Capital, which acquired Cetera in 2018 and reinvested in the firm in 2023. Senior Reporter, Wealth Management Alex Ortolani is a New York-based senior reporter with Wealth Management with a focus on deals, moves and trends in the registered investment advisor space.
