Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Demonstrated 3+ years of work experience at hedge fund accounting or investment companies fund accounting with derivative instruments and external investors
  • Nearly qualified or completed CA, CMA, CGA, CPA or CFA designation (preferred – not a must have)
  • Strong working understanding of investment strategies and financial products (including derivatives)
  • Experience in a reviewer capacity of deliverables and managing delivery for the team
  • Some successful supervisory/management experience
  • Ability to coordinate and work with various teams in an operations model
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated financial reporting, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong Office and Outlook skill set (especially Excel)
  • Proven ability to work in a challenging and professional work environment
Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly Net Asset Value calculations, which includes: Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations, Income and Expense Accruals, Partner/Shareholder Allocation calculations, Financial Statement preparation and trial balance review
  • Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables
  • Interact with senior management and clients; help establish plan for new client setup and transitions
  • Help coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process
  • Place outbound phone calls to clients in response to written inquiries or obtain clarification on transaction processing requests; provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
  • Coordinate with Operations group, Tax group, Investor Relations group, Financial Statement group, and other groups at Citco
  • Review client funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs and other materials
  • Be part of the implementation of fund structures on accounting system
  • Interact daily with P&L team on valuations and price analysis
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed
Desired Qualifications
  • CA, CMA, CGA, CPA or CFA designation (preferred)
  • Experience as a reviewer/manager in accounting context may be considered desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience with hedge fund accounting systems and external investor documentation may be implied by requirements
