Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or Business is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant, progressive leadership experience in an integrated marketing and communications or business capacity is required.
  • Experience in a healthcare organization is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and build collaborative work relationships with Elliot Health System leadership, Marketing and Communications leadership and team, and other key stakeholders across the system to evaluate business opportunities and align marketing and communications strategies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to advise clients, manage client expectations, and direct the day-to-day priorities and operations of the department's marketing and advertising team.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to department teams, physicians, clinical and operational leaders, and senior leadership to align integrated marketing, advertising, and communications initiatives with organizational and growth priorities.
  • Interface with system executives, other leaders, and cross-functional teams; implement approaches and processes in strategic marketing and advertising and direct-to-consumer and business-to-business services; and partner with the Director of System Communications and Public Relations on brand and community engagement, content strategy, and social media.
  • Assess business needs and lead the development and execution of proactive, integrated, multichannel marketing communications strategies informed by data analysis, business intelligence, and customer insights.
  • Ensure marketing and communications plans are audience-specific, data-informed, aligned with access and capacity considerations, and supportive of key growth objectives.
  • Enhance internal and external clinical program engagement, develop related content positioning, and participate in planning and executing client and team member meetings.
  • Directly supervise a team of integrated marketing, advertising, and communications strategists responsible for customer-facing promotion for priority clinical programs and business care models.
  • Evaluate and help manage marketing-supported vendor relationships, including request-for-proposal processes and vendor contract negotiation and management in collaboration with Marketing and Communications senior leadership.
  • Scan internal and external environments for marketing and communications improvement opportunities and identify issues and opportunities affecting the system's reputation and brand.
  • Guide team members in planning special events, open houses, and related activities in coordination with Marketing and Communications and Public Relations team members.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate integrated marketing, advertising, and communications projects for internal and external audiences, including digital and web content, direct marketing materials, blog articles, newsletters, publications, and related collateral materials.
