NDT LEVEL 2 Inspector
About the job
- Must be a certified Level II inspector with certifications.
- Ability to use basic hand inspection equipment, including height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft programs and the company server.
- Ability to work with other departments and prioritize job duties.
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Ability to pass visual examination for near-vision acuity and color contrast.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to learn non-destructive testing disciplines in magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection, and ultrasonic testing, with Level II credentials, including hardness testing, magnetic particle testing, and ultrasonic testing.
- Credentials must meet the latest NAS 410 and SNT-TC-1A qualifications.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, wear personal protective equipment throughout the shift, and stand for extended periods, with occasional stooping and walking.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
- Ability to use office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
- Must pass applicable alcohol and drug screening as a condition of employment.
- Ensure products comply with non-destructive testing specifications and company quality standards.
- Calibrate equipment and maintain records.
- Document daily and monthly logs and records.
- Complete non-conformance forms when issues are found, including the required information.
- Follow and establish work instructions and procedures.
- Lead production shop tours when required.
- Assist machine operators in understanding process flow.
- Perform other duties as needed or required.
