Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on revenue
  • Experience using NetSuite or Stripe
  • A Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets, leveraging these tools for advanced formulas and summarizing calculations
  • Experience designing, implementing, and executing on internal controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail in identifying discrepancies
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for process improvement and automation
Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly close activities including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Own the monthly revenue recognition process in Netsuite
  • Research, interpret, and prepare accounting policy memos to support the accounting treatment for revenue under IFRS 15
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to track and record transactions relating to revenue-sharing arrangements
  • Oversee and manage sales tax compliance within Avalara
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date internal control and process documentation
  • Produce quarterly external investor reports
  • Support annual financial statement audit processes
