Requirements
  • Experience managing day-to-day operations and ensuring quality in packing, shipping, distribution, and receiving processes.
  • Experience supporting a Program Manager and team members with vendor relations, continuous process improvement, and competitive pricing arrangements for client product inventory.
  • Experience providing oversight and leadership for tactical day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • Experience with process improvement, process documentation, and training on documented processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • Inventory management and project management skills.
  • Proven experience in logistics and fulfillment operations.
  • Knowledge of logistics and fulfillment operations, including packing, shipping, distribution, and receiving processes.
  • Project management skills within marketing, logistics, and fulfillment.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and/or five or more years of work experience.
  • Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to document information using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language.
  • The ability to manage projects with small and large work teams.
  • The ability to negotiate with vendors and supervise and motivate fulfillment staff.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with print processes for developing collateral materials.
Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of fulfillment and order tracking activities and assist the Warehouse Manager as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations and ensure quality in packing, shipping, distribution, and receiving processes.
  • Coordinate and oversee the complete order fulfillment process, including picking, packing, shipping, and order tracking.
  • Manage warehouse team activities and ensure accuracy in shipment and billing.
  • Support behind-the-scenes event management planning and work with graphic designers on direct mail, print, and digital marketing materials.
  • Provide website and process training, including user training and training documentation.
  • Document processes and programs accurately.
  • Work with fulfillment issues, including communication with shippers.
  • Measure and report on program effectiveness.
  • Forecast expenses and manage budgets.
  • Provide oversight support for public and stakeholder-facing websites, including content management, design input, troubleshooting, testing, reporting, and analysis.
  • Develop and distribute site reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics operations, timelines, production, budgets, and status reports.
  • Plan inventory and ensure orders are processed efficiently.
  • Interact with vendors to maintain a fluid, up-to-date inventory of goods.
  • Monitor warehouse processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity.
  • Contract with sufficient vendors to meet customer demand without interruption.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for review and approval by upper management.
  • Provide conference support two or three times a year and travel to client sites as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous inventory or fulfillment management experience.
  • Military background or experience working in a federal government environment.
