Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, or an equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
  • The role requires 0–3+ years of experience with civil engineering design and construction projects.
  • Exposure to engineering design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D is required.
  • A technical mindset for troubleshooting and resolving complex problems is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication is required.
  • A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required for periodic travel.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with roadway and transportation design for highway and bridge projects.
  • Support plan production, including drawings, modeling, and design calculations.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
  • Help prepare construction documents and plan sets.
  • Contribute to problem-solving with guidance from licensed engineers.
  • Support project teams through the coordination and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Assist with construction administration activities, including requests for information and submittals.
  • Participate in field observations and site visits as needed.
  • Develop technical skills and apply engineering principles to real-world projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Engineer-In-Training professional designation is preferred, or the candidate should be willing to obtain it soon after hire.
