Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts by setting priorities, monitoring performance, and building capability in execution management and cross-functional coordination.
  • Establish clear team roles, standard work, and accountability.
  • Coach the team on structured problem solving, escalation, and follow-through.
  • Own execution of operating plans across logistics functions and ensure alignment with service, cost, and working capital objectives.
  • Monitor service, throughput, inventory flow, and backlog performance and drive timely recovery actions.
  • Identify capacity, labor, inventory, and carrier or vendor constraints and coordinate mitigation plans.
  • Establish and lead daily, weekly, and monthly operating cadences, including execution reviews, action tracking, and escalation forums.
  • Ensure consistent use of trackers, key performance indicators, and performance reporting with clear ownership and follow-up.
  • Own performance reporting and analysis, ensuring data validation, consistency, and actionable insight generation.
  • Translate data into clear narratives, risks, and recommended actions for leadership.
  • Coordinate across Planning, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, Customer Management, Procurement, and external partners.
  • Communicate execution risks, trade-offs, and priorities to drive aligned decision-making.
  • Reinforce adherence to standard operating procedures, escalation paths, and execution frameworks.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives that improve service reliability, cost performance, and execution consistency.
  • Lead inbound finished-goods replenishment execution across truckload, less-than-truckload, rail, and intermodal transportation.
  • Ensure reliable flow of goods from breweries to distribution centers and co-pack locations while managing transit-time performance.
  • Manage carrier and modal-provider performance, capacity alignment, and lane optimization.
  • Drive on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and inventory availability.
  • Use modal strategy to balance cost and service across the network.
  • Execute rail-diversion strategies to mitigate delays, manage disruptions, and optimize inbound flow.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to align inbound flow with supply plans and operational capacity.
  • Mitigate disruption risk and ensure continuity of supply across transportation modes.
  • Lead continuous improvement through key performance indicators, visibility, and process discipline.
  • Manage approximately two full-time employees.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise inventory management, warehouse operations, controls, and enterprise resource planning or warehouse management system-enabled processes is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to 30%, is stated in the qualifications.

Constellation Brands hits 52-week low at $128 despite 3.2% dividend yield and Modelo dominance

Constellation Brands names Alex Alvarez beer supply chain chief

Constellation Brands has appointed Alex Alvarez as senior vice president and chief supply chain officer for its beer division, effective 14 September. He replaces John Kester, who is retiring in November after 12 years with the company. Alvarez brings over 30 years of experience in operations and supply chain management. Most recently, he spent three years as chief supply chain officer at Suntory Global Spirits, overseeing 18 distilleries globally. Before that, he worked at Brown-Forman for 16 years in various leadership roles. In his new role, Alvarez will oversee manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics and distribution for Constellation's beer brands, including Corona and Modelo.

Diageo struggles while Constellation gains hedge fund favour despite sector headwinds

Nicholas Fink took over as chief executive in April.
