MicroCloud Hologram acquires $15.76M stake in Strategy through structured note settlement

MicroCloud Hologram has acquired 140,268 shares of Strategy Inc. valued at approximately $15.76 million, extending its push into Bitcoin-linked investments. The shares were received through the maturity and settlement of a structured note investment product, rather than cash. Strategy has become the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, making it a closely watched proxy for the cryptocurrency. This gives MicroCloud indirect exposure to Bitcoin price movements within a traditional equity structure. The investment broadens MicroCloud's capital allocation strategy beyond its core holographic technology business. The company has more than 3 billion yuan in cash reserves and plans to deploy over $400 million across blockchain development, quantum computing, quantum holography and artificial intelligence. Future digital asset investments will depend on market conditions, regulatory policy and financial position.

Strategy's Bitcoin holdings swing to $1.4B profit as BTC surges 23% to $77,300

Bitcoin traded at $77,300 on 21 August, up 23% from $62,800 at the start of the week. The company owns 840,447 Bitcoin acquired at an average price of $75,385. Strategy had faced unrealized losses for much of the year as Bitcoin fell 54% from its October 2025 all-time high of over $126,000. The company recently sold nearly 7,000 Bitcoin at a loss to replenish cash reserves and cover preferred stock dividends. At current prices, Strategy's Bitcoin holdings are worth $64.97 billion.

MicroStrategy erases 2-month loss as Bitcoin tops $70,000, but $4.69B holdings still underwater

Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy (MSTR), rose 6.9% to $111.14 on Thursday, erasing a two-month decline and reaching its highest price since mid-June. The stock climbed 35.9% from its late June low of $81.81. Bitcoin's surge above $70,000 — its first time at that level in 78 days — fuelled the rally. Two Washington policy moves drove the recovery: the Treasury doubled long-end bond buybacks to $4 billion starting September, and the SEC proposed rules allowing crypto firms to raise up to $75 million annually without full registration. Despite the stock gains, Strategy's 840,447 bitcoin holdings remain underwater. The company paid an average $75,385 per coin but Bitcoin trades at $69,803, leaving a $4.69 billion loss. Strategy sold 6,916 bitcoin between June and August, booking approximately $92 million in losses.

MSTR stock grinds higher as bitcoin treasury strategy evolves.

MSTR stock grinds higher as bitcoin treasury strategy evolves. TIM BOHEN - UPDATED AUG. 20, 2026, 3:04 PM ET Strategy Inc stocks have been trading up by 6.59 percent after announcing a major AI-driven product expansion. Key takeaways for active MSTR traders. * Massive GAAP net loss from $8.3B in unrealized bitcoin losses masks Strategy Inc's push to 846,000 BTC, over $4.2B in fresh equity capital, lower convertible debt, and a $3.75B USD reserve. * Active bitcoin treasury moves include two BTC sale tranches totaling 3,328 coins for about $213.3M, while MicroStrategy still holds roughly 840,447 BTC worth about $63.36B and paused trading between 2026/08/10 and 2026/08/16. * The company is repurchasing its Series A perpetual preferred below par, buying 288,930 shares for about $25M and targeting a $100 trading level while keeping a 12% dividend in place. * Clear Street, Benchmark, and B. Riley all cut MSTR price targets but kept Buy ratings, with a consensus target near $258.50 and a focus on bitcoin mark-to-market rather than core operations. * MicroStrategy's role as a leading corporate bitcoin treasury is reinforced by its ~843,775-846,000 BTC stack and its role in the Bitcoin Security Consortium alongside BlackRock, Coinbase, Galaxy, and Block. Live Update At 15:03:58 EDT: On Thursday, August 20, 2026 Strategy Inc stock [NASDAQ: MSTR] is trending up by 6.59%! Discover the key drivers behind this movement as well as its expert analysis in the detailed breakdown below. Quick financial overview. MSTR has been trading like a leveraged bitcoin futures contract wrapped in an enterprise-software shell. The daily chart from 2026/07/27 through 2026/08/20 shows a grind higher from the mid-$90s into the low $110s, with the latest close around $111.13 after a $113.23 open. That's a steady series of higher lows from roughly $90 to above $108, telling traders dip buyers are still in control. Intraday, MSTR's 5-minute action shows wide pre-market swings above $115, then a fade at the open down to about $109, followed by a controlled bounce and tight consolidation around $111. That's classic liquidity and range expansion - strong enough for day traders to scalp, but structured enough for swing traders to define risk. Fundamentally, MicroStrategy's Q2 revenue of $122.4M came in basically in line with the $122.9M consensus. The software business is steady, not the main story. What really matters is the balance sheet: enterprise value near $39.9B, price-to-sales over 71, and brutal negative margins driven by bitcoin fair-value marks. With a current ratio above 5 and low debt-to-equity of 0.22, MSTR has liquidity, but traders are paying for bitcoin exposure, not earnings stability. Why traders are locked in on MSTR right now. MicroStrategy has doubled down on its identity as the market's purest listed bitcoin treasury play. The company posted a huge GAAP net loss, driven by $8.3B of unrealized bitcoin fair-value hits during a BTC drawdown. On the surface, that looks ugly. For disciplined traders, it simply confirms MSTR is a high-beta leverage vehicle on bitcoin, not a traditional earnings story. While the income statement bleeds red ink, the balance sheet tells a different tale. MSTR scaled its stack to about 846,000 BTC, raised more than $4.2B in equity capital across Q2 and into early Q3, and slashed convertible debt by 18%. It also built a $3.75B USD war chest, giving MicroStrategy serious flexibility if bitcoin volatility spikes again. On the trading side, MSTR shifted from strict "never sell" to tactical treasury work. The company sold 1,690 BTC for around $108.6M at roughly $64,262, and another 1,638 BTC for about $104.7M at around $63,957. Even after that, MicroStrategy still holds roughly 840,447 BTC acquired for around $63.36B, and reported no BTC activity between 2026/08/10 and 2026/08/16. That pattern - small sales for liquidity while keeping a massive core - is key for traders watching for any sign of capitulation. They are not seeing it. Analysts are recalibrating. Clear Street cut its target to $201 from $240, Benchmark to $435 from $570, and B. Riley to $155 from $215, yet every one of them kept a Buy rating on MSTR. The Street is trimming upside mainly because of bitcoin's pullback and mark-to-market math, not because MicroStrategy's strategy changed. For traders, that's confirmation that MSTR remains a leveraged long-term BTC bet in Wall Street's eyes. Add the capital-structure moves: MicroStrategy repurchased about 288,930 Series A preferred shares for roughly $25M at an average $86.52, and management says it will be a regular buyer, aiming for near $100 with a juicy 12% dividend until that level holds. The common stock jumped nearly 6% on that headline, a clear sign traders read it as confident, shareholder-friendly use of capital. Overlay all this with MicroStrategy's involvement in the Bitcoin Security Consortium - alongside BlackRock, Coinbase, Galaxy, and Block - and its status as the #1 corporate bitcoin treasury with around 843,775-846,000 BTC. That positions MSTR not just as a passenger in the BTC ecosystem, but as one of the drivers. For momentum traders, that narrative power matters. Conclusion. For active traders, MSTR is not a widows-and-orphans name; it is a weapon. The stock's recent climb from the low $90s to above $110, despite $8.3B of paper losses, shows how strongly the market keys off bitcoin direction and MicroStrategy's balance-sheet moves, not traditional earnings metrics. The Q2 revenue print around $122.4M and stable software operations are almost a side show. What carries weight is MicroStrategy's massive BTC stack, its $3.75B USD reserve, and its willingness to use the equity and preferred markets tactically. Preferred stock buybacks near $86.52, a 12% dividend locked in until pricing nears $100, and disciplined bitcoin sales without shrinking the core position all send the same message: management is comfortable running MSTR as a leveraged bitcoin and digital-credit vehicle with real capital-markets skill. At the same time, traders need to respect the risk. Price-target cuts, an insider Form 144 signaling potential share sales, and mark-to-market pain when BTC dips all remind StocksToTrade, Inc. this is a rollercoaster, not a straight line. This content is for educational and research purposes only, but the trading mindset still applies. As Tim Sykes likes to say, "Cut losses quickly, stay disciplined, and let the market prove you right - not your ego." As Tim Bohen, lead trainer with StocksToTrade says, "Time and experience have taught me that missed opportunities are part of the game. There's always another setup around the corner." MSTR rewards that kind of mindset; it punishes anything less. This is stock news, not investment advice. Saylor's Strategy sells $334M stock to repurchase preferred shares, halts Bitcoin buying

The company hasn't purchased any Bitcoin since mid-June. Executive chairman Michael Saylor announced in late June that Strategy was pivoting from Bitcoin accumulation to capital management.
