Requirements
  • A DEC diploma in nursing sciences and a valid practice permit are required.
  • Experience in this sector or a comparable service is required.
  • Training in expanded role is required.
  • The candidate must be bilingual in French and English because the population in the Lower North Shore is predominantly English-speaking.
  • The candidate must be available for on-call duty.
  • Familiarity with medical computer systems, particularly Epic, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients in a hospital environment.
  • Assess patients' medical and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Use Epic to document care and monitor patients' progress.
  • Communicate effectively with families about patients' health status and needs.
  • Participate in case management to ensure continuity of care, including in home-care and assisted-living contexts.
  • Train and supervise auxiliary staff when applicable.
