Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent, with typing experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy in data entry or financial recordkeeping.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Provide fiscal and administrative support to the Administrative and Financial Services team within Information Technology Services.
  • Perform transactional financial activities, including data entry, account reconciliations, purchasing support, and maintenance of financial records.
  • Work with team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting departmental financial operations.
  • Apply established fiscal methods, rules, and procedures under close supervision to maintain compliance with federal, state, and Washington State University policies and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience or coursework in a higher education, governmental, or public-sector fiscal environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise financial systems such as Workday or a similar enterprise resource planning system.
  • Experience processing purchase requests, invoices, or accounts payable transactions.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Completion of college-level coursework in accounting, business, finance, or a closely related field; 15 quarter hours or 10 semester hours may substitute for six months of experience.
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field.
