Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field is required.
- Candidates must be credentialed Registered Dietitians or exam-eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and must obtain the Registered Dietitian credential within three months of hire.
- A current Wisconsin Dietitian License is required.
- BLS certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
- Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Candidates must demonstrate a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
- Use the Nutrition Care Process to perform nutrition screenings and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
- Deliver patient and family education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide nutrition services across inpatient units, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, general outpatient services, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, group classes, and education programs.
- Support the Nutrition and Culinary Services leadership team with planning and implementing therapeutic diets and IDDSI textures throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Lead Dietitian.
Desired Qualifications
- A master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of clinical dietetics experience is preferred.
- Experience with EPIC and ECS charting systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of IDDSI texture and diet modifications is preferred.
- At least two years of long-term care experience is preferred.
