What believers are saying

  • February 2025 CEO Bill Humphries signals post-merger growth execution and commercial discipline.
  • The Durham $4 million expansion created space for over 100 skilled hires in RTP.
  • Palvella's positive March 2026 Phase 3 readout and Purna partnership strengthen sponsor validation.

What critics are saying

  • MedPharm depends on niche topical spending; a sponsor slowdown hits utilization fast in 2025-2026.
  • The 2024 merger left some Tergus leaders exiting, creating integration and execution risk.
  • Topical CDMO giants and captive pharma plants can compress margins and steal repeat programs.

What makes MedPharm unique

  • MedPharm remains the topical and transepithelial CDMO specialist after the 2024 Tergus merger.
  • Durham and Guildford sites give MedPharm integrated development, clinical manufacturing, and commercial production.
  • August 2026 Olink CSP status adds proprietary proteomics beyond formulation and in vitro testing.
