Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Appropriate insurance licenses.
  • Strong client relationship skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts.
  • Excellent communication skills, service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems.
  • Ability to provide direction, constructive feedback, development, and training while motivating others to maximize productivity and team morale.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
  • Execute comprehensive client service plans for assigned accounts addressing business needs and risk-management goals.
  • Lead client-service activities related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem solving.
  • Coordinate internal and external activities so new and renewal accounts are handled in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
  • Monitor and manage the renewal process, including presenting renewal materials and alternative market options to clients and producers.
  • Lead marketing activities for smaller and less complex accounts.
  • Prepare marketing information and provide required information to producers; participate in presenting options to clients.
  • Manage the implementation process and prepare and deliver applicable client forms.
  • Plan relationship-management meetings and visits with assigned clients in coordination with producers.
  • Use client-management systems to update policies, log activities, document meetings and service issues, establish follow-up dates, manage follow-up, and retrieve information to assist clients.
  • Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay current on products and legislative changes.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
