What's this role about?

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, along with robust experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows with approval mechanisms. Proven knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards is essential, as is the ability to lead complex cloud migration projects from on-premise infrastructure to GCP. The role demands strong problem-solving and communication skills, as well as close collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and business teams to deliver cloud-native solutions. Responsibilities include optimizing cloud performance and cost through proactive monitoring and tuning, ensuring adherence to governance policies, staying current with GCP updates and industry best practices, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of architectural decisions, configurations, and operational processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of hands-on experience with GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage).
Strong expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with cloud security and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures using GCP services.
Lead cloud migration projects from on-premise to GCP.
Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business teams to integrate cloud-native solutions.
Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
Github CI/CD with workflow , approval,
Optimize cloud performance and cost through monitoring and tuning.
Stay current with GCP updates and industry best practices.
Document architectural decisions, cloud configurations, and processes.
