Requirements
  • Bilingualism is required for assignments in the north.
  • A valid driver's license is required for all assignments.
  • At least one year of home-care services experience must be indicated on the résumé for a home-care assignment.
  • For home-care assignments, candidates without prior home-care experience must complete a three- to four-day orientation before the assignment begins.
  • For adult mental-health assignments, experience in adult mental health, mental-status assessment, and suicide-risk assessment must be indicated on the résumé.
  • For adult mental-health assignments, comfort with medico-legal work is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide home-care services, including services to older adults and palliative-care patients as applicable to the assignment.
  • Provide adult mental-health services, including mental-health assessment and suicide-risk assessment, as applicable to the assignment.
  • Work in the applicable programs, including psychosocial intake, mental health, and general social services.
Desired Qualifications
  • OMEGA training.
  • Proficiency with SIC+, Cortex, Teams, and Excel, as needed for the assignment.
  • Experience with older adults, palliative care, or work in northern regions or Nunavik.
  • Experience with psychotic disorders, or experience at Pinel or Douglas.
