Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and coordination of the Take Flight program.
  • Develop and coordinate programs and services that positively impact the recruitment, retention, and enrichment of first-generation college students.
  • Market, promote, and track attendance and assessment data for Take Flight programs, events, and related programs.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational and developmental systems and processes that provide individualized holistic support services for students.
  • Develop and coordinate curricular and co-curricular support programs and services to enhance student engagement, learning, and success.
  • Coordinate programs and services that create connections among individual students, student groups, and the university community.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with associated university departments and campus services.
  • Advise first-generation college students, mentors, student organization leaders, and assigned student organizations.
  • Provide fiscal guidance and support to students using the student activity fee and planning events.
  • Supervise the events team of students and the graduate assistant.
  • Represent the department in public relations forums and university events.
  • Establish relationships with faculty, academic leadership, enrollment services, campus life professionals, and other campus staff.
  • Serve as a resource for students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
  • Present training workshops and seminars for students and staff.
  • Participate in university initiatives, special events, and student organization activities.
  • Participate in strategic, operational, and budget planning for the department.
  • Maintain knowledge of related university departments, systems, and processes.
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues on and off campus.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office and back storage room.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in campus activities, leadership, orientation, or other relevant areas is strongly preferred.
  • Apply best and emerging practices consistent with the university's Catholic identity.
  • Engage with appropriate professional organizations and seek regional and national recognition for departmental innovations and initiatives.
