Requirements
  • At least 10 years of software development or technical architecture experience across varied technology stacks, including cloud environments, is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in engineering leadership, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or a combination of these areas is required.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern artificial intelligence engineering workflows, development tooling, and agentic tooling, such as Claude Code or equivalent, is required to set technical direction and credibly direct an engineer's work.
  • Experience designing or advising on artificial intelligence operating models, technology adoption strategies, or transformation programs is required.
  • Ability to engage across lines of business, including discussing continuous integration and continuous delivery with a Vice President of Engineering and operational efficiency with a Chief Operating Officer, is required.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including writing and presenting to Chief Technology Officers, Vice Presidents of Engineering, and line-of-business leaders, are required.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise consulting engagements, including executive stakeholders, scope, delivery quality, and commercial outcomes, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Own the success of artificial intelligence transformation engagements from discovery through executive handoff, aligning customer outcomes, technical direction, delivery execution, scope, and long-term partnership into a single engagement plan.
  • Run structured discovery across engineering, product, and business stakeholders to map context, artificial intelligence readiness, and where artificial intelligence changes the economics.
  • Design target architectures and artificial intelligence operating models that define how the organization adopts, governs, and scales artificial intelligence in production.
  • Define the enterprise artificial intelligence strategy and operating model that guide architectural decisions, delivery priorities, governance, and long-term artificial intelligence adoption.
  • Set strategic and technical direction across architecture, data readiness, artificial intelligence adoption, governance, and delivery priorities.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership when critical architectural or delivery challenges require it.
  • Build executive relationships that position Climb as a long-term artificial intelligence partner.
  • Shape follow-on scope throughout delivery and present a credible hypothesis for the next engagement by handoff.
  • Surface expansion signals across lines of business and route them to the account team.
  • Improve delivery frameworks based on engagement experience.
  • Mentor Architects and Forward Deployed Engineers on architecture, executive engagement, and the architect-engineer delivery model.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Mosaic AI, Unity Catalog, or model serving, is preferred.
  • Direct experience building or operating agentic AI systems in production is preferred.
  • Experience with large language model prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation architecture, or AI product development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with private-equity portfolio-company environments and board-level communication is preferred.
  • Experience designing AI governance and adoption guardrails for enterprise organizations is preferred.
  • Databricks and Anthropic certifications are expected to be obtained after hire.
  • Relevant certifications may qualify for spot bonuses.
