Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Have one year of radiologic experience.
  • Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.
  • Hold a license from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
  • Produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision.
  • Function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Be familiar with age-specific criteria.
  • Hold current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross CPR/AED certification for professional rescuers and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain and renew American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration, state license, Basic Life Support certification, PPD, respirator fit test, and point-of-care training.
  • Obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists MRI registration within one year of the hire date.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize MRI resources to perform high-quality MRI examinations on the entire patient population, from neonates through geriatrics, for interpretation by a physician.
  • Perform general MRI examinations, general anesthesia cases, implant studies, elastography, spectroscopy, and breast imaging on adult patients.
  • Rotate to all sites.
