Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a formal dining or upscale casual environment is required.
  • Ability to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, multitasking, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate and interact positively with all hotel departments.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move goods weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods indoors in a climate-controlled workstation.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Provide hospitality and customer service to guests.
  • Greet and seat guests upon entering the restaurant.
  • Record and confirm reservations through ToastTable or by telephone.
  • Monitor the guest waiting list.
  • Answer telephones for internal and external guests.
  • Handle room service and to-go orders by telephone.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and guest room charges.
  • Assist with serving guests by bringing meal orders when servers are busy.
  • Monitor guests’ dining experiences, respond to concerns, and correct problems promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and beverage programs.
  • Assist other team members as necessary to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Complete section setup and breakdown, including detailed cleaning of the work area and surrounding areas.
  • Work with servers to ensure orders are completed according to request and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Report damages, shortcomings, and disturbances to managers or supervisors.
  • Ensure restaurant operating procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
  • Fill in as needed to support smooth and efficient restaurant operations as directed by the Restaurant General Manager.
  • Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.
