Requirements
A current Nebraska RN or LPN license to practice is required; newly graduating nurses may be hired and trained before receiving the license.
Current CPR certification is required.
No previous experience is required.
An annual flu vaccine is required during flu season.
Applicants must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Applicants must be able to pass the designated fitness assessment and perform the physical activities required for the position.
Applicants must not have a condition or limitation that could pose a direct threat to themselves or others unless the threat can be eliminated by reasonable accommodation.
Regular attendance in the assigned role is an essential job function.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to residents recovering from spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries.
Use education and experience to develop therapeutic plans for individual residents.
Work collaboratively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support residents' recovery.
Adapt care to residents' needs and address complex healthcare issues involving the whole person.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in nursing or in a specialty such as dermatology or oncology is presented as background among team members, but previous experience is not required.

What does it look like?
In one simple word - variety! Our nursing team consists of a diverse group of individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels. Our nursing team has experience in dermatology, oncology, among many more. Some have worked in a hospital setting, others in a clinic, and others are newer graduates. Some have started at QLI as a C.N.A., and then earned their nursing degree or APRN degree. They work as one team. They help each other trouble-shoot scenarios and are invested in one another’s career growth. There is no hierarchy here, they are all members of our nursing team and they are relentless in their pursuit to help the residents in their recovery.
