Requirements
- The candidate must have 4–6 years of experience in test engineering, SDET, QA automation, or equivalent roles.
- The candidate must have a proven track record building automation frameworks and driving quality assurance for B2B SaaS or artificial intelligence/machine learning products.
- The candidate must have deep proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- The candidate must have hands-on experience with modern test automation tools, such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- The candidate must be familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- The candidate must have a strong command of representational state transfer application programming interfaces and load or performance testing.
- The candidate must be skilled at identifying root causes of complex failures.
- The candidate must be able to work side-by-side with developers, product, and operations teams to drive a quality culture.
- The candidate must be able to explain complex technical concepts clearly in writing and meetings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies across functional, integration, and system testing.
- Architect, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, application programming interfaces, and backend systems.
- Ensure that quality gates and automated checks are integral to the deployment pipeline.
- Evaluate, introduce, and maintain testing tools tailored to the product and its scale.
- Engage early in product design and architecture reviews to reduce defects before code is written.
- Write and maintain detailed, reusable, and effective test cases.
- Design tests for scalability, performance, and security, especially for artificial intelligence and machine learning features.
- Define release criteria, support releases, and ensure smooth rollouts.
- Partner with engineers to make testing easy, fast, and effective.
- Drive creation of testing documentation and best practices.
- Set up robust automation frameworks and integrate them into the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline.
- Build processes and tooling that enable fast, safe, and reliable product delivery, with quality metrics showing measurable improvements.
- Build the quality assurance vision and systems for the product.
- Define, build, and scale the company's quality assurance processes.
