Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests.
  • Set up, clean, and organize workstations.
  • Prepare ingredients for the shift, including washing vegetables, chopping, and seasoning meat.
  • Prepare the oven, utensils, and grill for the shift.
  • Take orders from wait staff or a computerized system.
  • Cook orders according to food health and safety standards.
  • Recommend ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.
  • Handle and monitor multiple food orders as new orders arrive.
  • Dress orders for presentation and ensure each guest order has the correct food and sides.
  • Deliver food orders to wait staff in a timely manner.
  • Store food properly.
  • Sanitize and clean workstations and utensils.
  • Reorder stock and food supplies.
  • Assist other cooks with food preparation and help other team members when needed.
  • Attend training courses at the community and maintain current monthly, quarterly, and annual training through the designated Learning Management System.
  • Perform other duties related to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of residents.
