At LV Petroleum, we are searching for SERVERS, COOKS, and BARTENDERS, at our famous Ten20 Tavern! If you have experience in any of the above roles, apply today!

WALK-INS: Held weekdays from 9a - 11a and 2p - 4p at the Ten20 Tavern inside our travel center located at 3010 Adams St, Mankato, MN

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

2. Greet customers as they enter and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

3. Answer customer inquiries and assist them with menu choices, providing recommendations when needed.
4. Process customer orders and payments accurately and efficiently.
5. Resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

6. Ensure customers have a positive dining experience by offering outstanding customer service.

7. Cash Register & Payment Processing:

8. Accurately operate the cash register, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly, including cash, credit, and debit card payments.

9. Handle cash, make change, and provide receipts as needed.

10. Ensure that the register area is tidy and organized, including keeping track of cash drawer and ensuring it is balanced at the start and end of each shift.

11. Order Management:

12. Enter customer orders accurately into the system and ensure that the kitchen staff receives correct details for preparation.

13. Communicate any special requests or modifications to kitchen staff.
14. Ensure that all orders are processed and delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

15. Assist with packaging takeout orders and ensure all items are correctly included.

16. Cleanliness & Organization:

17. Maintain a clean and organized cash register area, including wiping down counters and ensuring the space is clutter-free.

18. Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing tables and helping with minor cleaning tasks during quieter periods.

19. Stock napkins, condiments, utensils, and other necessary supplies at the register and dining areas.

20. Team Support:

21. Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.

22. Assist other team members as needed during peak times, such as refilling drinks or clearing tables.

23. Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure customer needs are met.

24. Sales & Promotions:

25. Inform customers of any promotions, specials, or new menu items.

26. Upsell items when appropriate, such as desserts, drinks, or sides.
27. Assist in maintaining the integrity of promotional materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and visible to customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or diner setting.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with hours, including weekends and evenings.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
