About the job

Requirements
  • Demonstrated track record leading engineering teams to success through continuous delivery and structured execution.
  • Solid foundation across full-stack development, data pipelines, and edge-to-cloud compute architecture.
  • Deep, practical experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tools as a default workflow, with the ability to demonstrate fluency at scale.
  • Strong balance between engineering excellence and business impact, with a clear sense of ownership and commercial drive.
  • An empathetic, growth-oriented leadership style that recognizes people as the foundation of a strong team.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the squad to bring next-generation tracking products through field trials and into full commercial launch.
  • Champion AI transformation by organizing development around AI-delegation and AI-augmentation models, and establish and own the squad’s agentic development environment within defined security and intellectual-property guardrails.
  • Build high-bar development plans for the squad, lead hiring for open engineering roles, and recruit talent with proven fluency in agentic development at scale.
  • Turn product vision into managed backlogs, sprint plans, and execution roadmaps, and instrument human-in-the-loop gates that maintain quality without slowing delivery.
  • Line-manage senior engineers, own team health and career development, and mentor engineers in orchestration and strategic judgment over manual coding.
  • Partner with Product Leadership and the squad’s Technical Authority on architecture, sequencing, and continuous delivery, keeping the team focused on impactful, measurable outcomes.

About the company

Hawk-Eye Innovations creates officiating, broadcast, tracking and analytics tools for sports. It started with tennis and cricket in 2001 and now expands to more sports, serving major events and partners like Sony Sports Innovations Group. How it works: its systems use multiple cameras and computer vision to track ball movement and player actions, reconstruct 3D trajectories, and provide precise decisions (line calls, outs, goals) as well as live video feeds and data analytics for broadcasters, teams, and officials. How it differs: it combines a proven, widely adopted ball-tracking and officiating platform with production and digital solutions and integration across sports, trusted by the world’s biggest events and backed by a large, experienced team. Its goal is to make sports fairer, safer, more engaging and better informed by delivering reliable officiating tools, high-quality broadcast support, and actionable analytics.
